When did you join Immedica and what is your role?

I joined Immedica a little over 4 and half years ago when the company was first formed. I’m the Commercial Director in the UK team and I also work with Global Marketing teams on specific projects.

Why did you choose to join Immedica? What attracted you the most?

The opportunity to help set up the UK affiliate and to shape the culture for a new pharma company doesn’t come along too often and I couldn’t let it pass me by. Immedica’s ambition to launch multiple drugs in the rare disease area was an exciting prospect to be a part of.

What do you love the most about your job?

One of the things I love most about my job is working with colleagues who are also friends. Being able to collaborate and solve problems together makes the work more enjoyable and satisfying. Additionally, working in a growing company, every day brings something new and exciting, which keeps me motivated and engaged. Whether it's a new project, a challenging task, or a chance to learn and grow, there's always something to look forward to. And through it all, I appreciate the opportunity to develop my skills and knowledge, both individually and as part of a team. The challenges we face together make us stronger and more resilient, and I love being a part of that process. Overall, the combination of teamwork, development, excitement, and challenge is what makes my job so fulfilling and rewarding.

Do you have special motto in life or a favorite quote?

I try to live my life by the old proverb “Whatever happens, happens for the best”. This helps me achieve a positive outlook on life, allowing me to trust the journey, even when things initially don’t go as planned. This allows for a growth mindset, where I can learn to find the silver lining in challenging situations and to grow from these experiences.
