When did you join Immedica and what is your role?

I joined Immedica in September 2021 and work as legal counsel at our headquarters in Stockholm.

Why did you choose to join Immedica? What attracted you the most with the company?

What made Immedica unique and stand out was the combination of being a value-driven organization and a start-up with high growth trajectory in the pharma industry.

Immedica’s core values are open & honest, effective and empowered, can you describe how these guide you in your daily job?

One of my very first impressions when I started at Immedica was that the company early on places a high degree of trust and confidence in your abilities. This provides the perfect platform as a young professional to grow and take leaps forward both professionally and on a personal level. On a more practical note, for me, our values project a mindset in the way we work in both internal and external projects – Immedica:ians are agile, pragmatic and solution-minded. Since we are still a rather small but fast-growing company, it is important that we avoid overdoing things and, rather, put our resources where they are most advantageous to our business operations.

What do you love the most about your job?

As part of my role as in-house legal counsel, I support the business with setting up commercial agreements that makes it possible for patients that suffer from rare diseases to access medical treatments against their conditions. It is therefore enormously inspiring when we hear about patient stories and learn how our products make a difference in patients’ lives. Behind every agreement is a patient with a medical need, whichs adds an entirely different dimension to my everyday work.

Do you have special motto in life or a favorite quote?

The quote would probably come from one of my favorite books, The Alchemist. It says: "When you want something, all the universe conspires in helping you to achieve it."
