Advanced Biomaterial Systems® Changes the Name of Symphony™ VR Radiopaque Bone Cement to CONCERT® Spine VR Radiopaque Bone Cement

For Use in Vertebroplasty or Kyphoplasty Procedures

 
CHATHAM, NJ, July 21, 2005
Advanced Biomaterial Systems, Inc. (ABS) has changed the name of its proprietary Symphony™ VR Radiopaque Bone Cement to CONCERT® Spine VR Radiopaque Bone Cement for the fixation of pathological fractures of the vertebral body using vertebroplasty or kyphoplasty procedures. The name change unifies the proprietary bone cements of ABS under the CONCERT® brand name.

“ABS will continue to leverage the CONCERT® polymer formulation in the development of new medical grade polymers. The Company is committed to the advancement of new and innovative polymers that are biodegradable and therapeutic, as well as minimally invasive implantable systems” said Pete Carr, President and Chief Executive Officer of ABS.

ABS will be exhibiting its products at the American Society of Interventional and Therapeutic Neuroradiology (ASITN) course & workshop meeting in Oahu, Hawaii in August, the North American Spine Society (NASS) meeting in Philadelphia, PA in September, and the Advanced Interventional Management Symposium (AIM) in New York, NY in November.
